Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Inter Carmella engaged in this event on the 20th of August, 2014, pursuant to GAR 79A.
Margaret Arelia was quick to begin. Small One was slow to begin. Inter Carmella, Baggys Quest, Quasi Bale and Taina Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Baggys Quest. Small One checked off Baggys Quest on the first turn. Binnie's Boy eased approaching the second turn. Tania Bale and Small One collided entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Wood, the trainer of the greyhound Binnie's Boy. Binnie's Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back, right calf and right monkey muscle; a 7 stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Binie's Boy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
