Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Big Vee.
Big Vee, Gee Callan and Why Not Lucy were quick to begin. Cosmic Daicos and Zatrite were slow to begin. Big Vee and Sonic Barnsey collided soon after the start. Daggy's Gift and Fury's Inferno collided approaching the first turn checking Fury's Inferno. Daggy's Gift, Fury's Inferno, Cosmic Daicos, Sonic Barnsey and Zatrite collided on the first turn checking Big Vee and severely checking Sonic Barnsey and Zatrite. Cosmic Daicos raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Big Vee tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Big Vee was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Donald Hardwick the trainer of Big Vee regarding the greyhounds performance in this event. Mr. Hardwick stated that the greyhound was a nervous dog and he believed it was not suited to a late race. Mr Hardwick advised he would be applying for an early race request at the greyhound's next start.

Satisfactory Trial Results:-
Speedie Rioli trialled over the 400 metres from box 5, weight 34.2kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.93 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.25 lengths. Speedie Rioli was cleared.
