Mighty Kev was quick to begin. Fatboy's Rule went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Mighty Kev, Need's Luck and Damn Nuisance collided soon after the start checking Need's Luck and Little Vera and severely checking Damn Nuisance. Magic Hook and Esperance Bay collided on the first turn. Need's Luck was checked off Magic Hook on the first turn checking Little Vera and Fatboy's Rule, Fatboy's Rule raced wide as a result. Magic Hook and Esperance Bay collided entering the home straight. Damn Nuisance stumbled on the home turn. Fatboy's Rule galloped on Little Vera in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Magic Hook was checked off Esperance Bay in the home straight.
Fatboy's Rule was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
