Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Fothergill, the handler of the greyhound Tronathon.  Tronathon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hock and thumps, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Tronathon with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Jordan Formosa, the handler of the greyhound Effie Trinkett and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure he remains behind the white line for the start of the event.

Proceed was slow to begin. Go Sniper and Jazomax collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn checking Jazomax. Chotcho and Regal Gladiator collided several times approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Go Sniper and Fear The Pom collided approaching the home turn. Midnight Scandal and Fear The Pom collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr F Hand, the trainer of Proceed after the greyhounds lead became detached in the stir up yard. An examination of the lead found it to be in good condition, no further action was taken.

Where's Crocky was quick to begin. Jack's Brutus went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Freckle's Way, Hot And Lonesome, Moyarra Marion and Judy's My Name collided approaching the first turn checking Hot And Lonesome and Moyarra Marion.
