Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Elay Galaxy.
Red Maxwell and Sonny's Magic were slow to begin. Elay Galaxy, Simply Elite, Red Maxwell, Neliel Bale and Little Sparrow collided soon after the start checking Red Maxwell and Little Sparrow severely checking Elay Galaxy. Lyrical Allen, Neliel Bale, Sonny's Magic and Little Sparrow collided entering the back straight. Lyrical Allen checked off Neliel Bale on the second turn and stumbled as a result. Little Sparrow checked off Sonny's Magic approaching the home turn. Red Maxwell checked off Miss Squibble approaching the home turn. Elay Galaxy raced wide on the home turn.
Elay Galaxy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
