The race was approximately delayed 3 minutes due to a problem with the run back gate that had to be rectified.

Pagani Lola was quick to begin. Deejay's Mate, All Inn Star and Flying Paddy collided on the first turn, checking Flying Paddy, Pollos Hermanos and Lynlaw Zane and severely checking All Inn Star.

Must Be Serious and Glasgow Sam were slow to begin. Turanza Magic and Ashlee Delight collided approaching the first turn, checking Turanza Magic and Charlie's Pledge. Glasgow Sam checked off Turanza Magic on the first turn. Nifty Nefertiti, Looney Lucy and Turanza Magic collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Nifty Nefertiti and Looney Lucy. Charlie's Pledge galloped on the heels of Looney Lucy approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

Looney Lucy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right wrist. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs N. Perkins, trainer, regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Abbey Lee. Stewards directed that Abbey Lee be boxed first in future events. 

Kid Famechon and Our Isabell collided soon after the start, checking Our Isabell. Kid Famechon and Carrara Lad collided approaching the first turn, checking Kid Famechon. Angle and Kid Famechon collided entering the home straight. 

Raider Lee was a late scratching at 2:32pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Arie's Jewel was slow to begin. Bells Hustler and Shirdon Wee Nell collided on the first turn, checking Shirdon Wee Nell and Arie's Jewel.

Guide Me Home was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Fezwah trialled over the 390m, from box 6, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 23.24, the greyhound was won by a margin of 4.0 lengths. Fezwah was cleared.

Low Life Larry trialled over the 390m, from box 8, weight 32.5kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 23.24, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.0 lengths. Low Life Larry was cleared.
