Erupting, Dora's Hand, Sunnymead and Essentially were slow to begin.  Crowdza Roaring and Essentially collided soon after the start.  Sunnymead, Black Arora, Lilly's Hand, Essentially and Crowdza Roaring colldied soon after the start, checking Lilly's Hand and Essentially.  Usain's Hand and Essentially collided at the 300m mark.  Black Arora checked off Usain's Hand at the 250m mark.  Dora's Hand checked off Essentially at the 250m mark.  Crowdza Roaring checked off Sunnymead at the 150m mark.

Centralian, Vapour Storm, Gino Keeping, Jetgun, Here Comes Alex, Makedonia and Leaf Cutter collided soon after the start, checking Vapour Storm and Velomagic and severely checking Leaf Cutter, Leaf Cutter tailed off and Jetgun pulling up as a result.  Centralian, Gino Keeping and Here Comes Alex collided at the 200m mark.

Jetgun was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left fibula, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Leaf Cutter was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right metacarpal and spike wounds to the right hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Velomagic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Swagzilla and Bralyn Major collided soon after the start.  Splitting Cobra, Tendency and Fang Larky collided soon after the start.  Actually Frank checked off Bralyn Major at the 300m mark.  Splitting Cobra checked off Tendency at the 250m mark.

The event was hand timed and recorded at 19.57.
