Steward's Report
Stewards issued a warning pursuant to GAR 81(1) to Handler Mr S.Wetzels, after the greyhound Moonshine Miss escaped the handler at the stir up yard prior to the running of this race. The greyhound was vetted and passed fit to race. The start of the race was delayed by two minutes. After hearing submissions from Mr Wetzels, a warning was issued in accordance with GAR 81(1).
Iron Hand and Husky Freckle were slow to begin.
Filorga Bale - (Turned head outward towards Moonshine Miss approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the nostrils. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr N.Bischard regarding Filgora Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Filgora Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bischard pled guilty to the charge, Filgora Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
