Steward's Report
Aston Salma was quick to begin.
Aston Salma marred Quinlan Bale in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right pencil/whip. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Graeme Jose regarding Aston Salma’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aston Salma was charged with marring. Mr. Jose pleaded guilty to the charge. Aston Salma is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Salma - the winner of the event.
