Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Meatball Molly.
In Range was quick to begin.
Stewards conferred with the judges regarding the margin and finishing times for fourth between Why Not Jules and Zipping Eve. A margin was visible in the photo finish image with the actual finishing time for Why Not Jules (30.0217) compared to 30.0225 for Zipping Eve. However, as FastTrack is limited to displaying three decimal places, both times were automatically rounded to 30.022 in FastTrack, and as such no margin is displayed in FastTrack.
In Range lost ground over the concluding stages of the event, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right monkey muscle and right pencil/whip muscle injuries. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Zodiac Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a right fore split webbing. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head-on vision available for the event.
