Steward's Report
Miss Mortgage, Mr. Ha Ha and My Maddy were quick to begin. Millers Road and Conali were slow to begin.
Miss Mortgage (severely checked on the home turn and in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to representative, Mr Mark Johnson regarding the racing manners of Miss Mortgage. After hearing submissions from Mr Johnson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Conali (marred Miss Mortgage several times in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a tarsal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative, Ms J.Lyons regarding Conali’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Conali was charged with marring. Ms Lyons pleaded guilty to the charge. Conali was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mepunga Tilly (marred Pretty With It turning into the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative, Ms J.Lyons regarding Mepunga Tilly’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Conali was charged with marring. Ms Lyons pleaded guilty to the charge. Mepunga Tilly was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Millers Road - the winner of the event.
