A sample was taken from Cabao Elderberry upon arrival at the course.
Raven Macaw and Phoenix Larry were quick to begin. Direct and Blackpool Zodiac were slow to begin.
Gaskin Bale (checked and lost ground in the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Phoenix Larry underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury was apparent. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. T. Dailly regarding the racing manners of Phoenix Larry at box rise. After hearing submissions from Mr. Dailly, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
