Dr. Yanis was quick to begin. Zipping Thor was slow to begin.
Juliet Keeping turned its head outward and marred Barbara Ann on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Deborah Coleman regarding Juliet Keeping’s racing manners in the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Juliet Keeping was charged with marring. Ms. Coleman pled not guilty to the charge, Juliet Keeping was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Ricky Coleman regading the handling and control of the greyhound's Juliet Keeping and Zipping Tula following this event. Mr. Coleman was reminded of his responsibilities under GAR 81 (2)(b).
