Steward's Report
Marionvale Gal and Scooner Glass were quick to begin. Junkyard Prince was slow to begin.
Schooner Glass (fell approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right dew claw injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Trainer Mr Mark Strahan failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Junkyard Prince for racing. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2). Mr Strahan was also issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 164 (a), in that the evidence given at a Stewards inquiry is required to be honest and factual.
A post–race sample was taken from Twilight Jet – the winner of the event.
