Steward's Report
Mr. Ian Bibby was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Crymelon Ivy, pursuant to GAR 88.
Osanna Bale was slow to begin.
Sweet Assassin raced wide on the home turn.
Bobby's Brae was severely checked on the first turn underwent a post-race veterinary exmaination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards held the All Clear in order for the Stewards to review the positioning of the lure in the vicinity of the first turn, with reference to GAR 109(2). After reviewing all available video footage and acting on their observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no runner was advantaged nor disadvantaged so as to affect the outcome of the event. Therefore, the variance was permitted in accordance with GAR 109 (2) and the All Clear was given on the 8 - 1 - 5 - 4.
