Steward's Report
Enraged – Late scratching at 12.55pm by Order of Stewards in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 19(4)(b).
Mr. Andrew Wood failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Dundee Silk for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
Love A Collision was slow to begin.
Dundee Silk visibly eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 7 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Corry Kas regarding Dundee Silk’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Dundee Silk was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Kas pled guilty to the charge, Dundee Silk was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
