Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Chip And Tail, upon arrival at the course.
Raised Hand was slow to begin.
Raised Hand contacted the running rail on the first turn, faltered and subsequently tailed off. Raised Hand underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration and injury to the left stifle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Loren Dalziel regarding Raised Right overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Dalziel to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Raised Right in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Stephen Whyte regarding the racing manners of Master Elite approaching the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Whyte, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
There was no head-on vision available in the back straight for this event.
