Steward's Report
Nanna's Blue Boy, Blue Bale and Nelvin Bale were quick to begin. On The Mint and Cookie Bale were slow to begin.
Xito Bale (cramped over the concluding stages) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Xito Bale must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 130, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Prince Dior (turned head outwards over the concluding stages) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no injury reported. Stewards spoke to representative Ms K. Smith regarding the greyhound's racing manners over the concluding stages. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Prince Dior was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Smith pled guilty to the charge, Prince Dior is suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
