Sheila Says– Late scratching at 14:27 due to the greyhound being on season[GAR 76 or 77]. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Rogue Temptation, Tuzla Bale and Big City Nights were slow to begin.
Big City Nights, underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request – no apparent injury was reported.
Tuzla Bale - frequency of racing, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Block Busted - eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Mr. Gary Barnsley declined the option to have the greyhound re–vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Barnsley regarding Block Busted’s racing mannersin the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Block Busted was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Barnsley plednot guilty to the charge, Block Busted was found guilty and suspended for28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
