Fine Wee Lass visibly eased turning off the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 5. Fine Wee Lass was found to have a right sesamoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Debra Cumes regarding Fine Wee Lass’ racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Fine Wee Lass was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Cumes pled guilty to the charge, Fine Wee Lass was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Into The Coffee underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary McMillan regarding the racing manners of Into The Coffee approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. McMillan, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Little Amelia contacted the running rail on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Slingshot Queen contacted the running rail on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triceps muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Cindy's Charm and Gerry's Gift were quick to begin. Boot A Dream and Dr. Callie were slow to begin.

Cool Blue Star – Late scratching at 6:41pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to abdominal bruising. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Superb and Blue Cascade were slow to begin.

Blue Cascade underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Why Not Bryce faltered entering the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a potential fracture to the left wrist. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Afternoon was quick to begin. Money And Power, Confer, Classic Touch and Center were slow to begin. 

Stewards held the All Clear after a duck collided with the lure entering the home straight and made contact with the greyhound Line And Strength, in turn causing several greyhounds to baulk. Stewards were satisfied this had an affect on the outcome of the race. As such, pursuant to GAR 110, the event was declared a ‘No Race’. All betting is to be refunded. The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The event was then abandoned in accordance with GAR 111, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the greyhounds which competed.

Line And Strength underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have mild head trauma. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dixie Kade – Late scratching at 6:00pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an elevated temperature. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
