Prince Of Egypt was slow to begin.
Hot Fudge stumbled shortly after the start.
Ha Hanna visibly eased entering the home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. The trainer Mr. Stavros Kipirtidis declined the option to have the greyhound re–vetted. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Kipirtidis regarding Ha Hanna’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Ha Hanna was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Kipirtidis pled not guilty to the charge, Ha Hanna was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Prince Of Egypt turned it's head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 4, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms. Ashlee Beecher regarding Prince Of Egypt’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Prince Of Egypt was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Beecher pled guilty to the charge, Prince Of Egypt was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Ha Hanna - the winner of the event.
