A post–race sample was taken from Wishing Well – the winner of the event.
Choice She Made faltered in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a hamstring injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Miss Indi Lee underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Nick Lecchino regarding Miss Indi Lee's racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Miss Indi Lee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Nick Lecchino pled guilty to the charge, Miss Indi Lee was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
