Steward's Report
Jefferson County and Joliet Bale were quick to begin. Russian Berry was slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Brendan Pursell regarding Curly Fries pulling up prior to the return gate and failing to enter the catching pen. After hearing evidence from Mr. Pursell, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
Dutch Impact, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right hamstring injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Wayne Kirk regarding the racing manners of Dutch Impact entering the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Kirk, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
