Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Fabs Wasabi.
Invigorating and Besant Bale were quick to begin. Crafter Road was slow to begin.
Quested Bale faltered in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right wrist and left deltoid. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Invigorating eased in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injury to the right biceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr George Dailly regarding Invigorating’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Invigorating was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Invigorating was found guilty and suspended for 28 days all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Fabs Wasabi which collided with Lowick Bale several times in the home straight underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr. George Dailly regarding the racing manners of Fabs Wasabi in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Dailly, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
