Steward's Report

Pursuant to GAR 75(7) Steward, Ms Demi Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Calypso Queen was quick to begin. Cinderella Story was slow to begin. 

My Girl Whizbang clipped the heels of Calypso Queen on the first turn and fell, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury and an abrasion to the right achillies. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Agent Jessie was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Long Island visibly eased on the first turn and marred My Girl Whizbang from the home turn to the winning post. Long Island underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ben Joske regarding Long Island’s racing manners from the first turn to the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Long Island was charged with marring. Mr. Joske pled guilty to the charge, Long Island was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
