Run Topper and Idle Awhile were quick to begin. Why Not Emily was slow to begin. 

Southern Sister raced ungenerously approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury and left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs Leanne Burke regarding the racing manners of Southern Sister approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mrs Burke, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.

A sample was taken from Myall Sparrow, upon arrival at the course.

Naughty Neville and Johari were slow to begin. 

A sample was taken from Dr. Cinny upon arrival at the course. 

Junior Pistol was quick to begin. Dr. Cinny was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Zambora's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have abrasions to the left hip and left hind toe - no stand down period was imposed.

Pursuant to GAR 75(7) Steward, Ms Demi Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Calypso Queen was quick to begin. Cinderella Story was slow to begin. 

My Girl Whizbang clipped the heels of Calypso Queen on the first turn and fell, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left quadriceps injury and an abrasion to the right achillies. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Agent Jessie was severely checked on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Long Island visibly eased on the first turn and marred My Girl Whizbang from the home turn to the winning post. Long Island underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ben Joske regarding Long Island’s racing manners from the first turn to the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Long Island was charged with marring. Mr. Joske pled guilty to the charge, Long Island was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Spring Hondo and Bubba Jo were quick to begin.

Shady Talks faltered on the first turn and tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Lysandra was quick to begin.

Miss Angel Di underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have a left quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Nibiru on 8/02/2023 pursuant to GAR 139.

Lavish Diamond was quick to begin.

Panza Attack – New declared weight of 31.2kg, last raced at 32.7kg.

Brandeen Jerry – New declared weight of 30.7kg, last raced at 29.3kg.

Spolly Rock underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Trainer and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

This event was delayed by approximately 1 minute to remove ducks from the track. 

Catch The Outlaw, Kath's Girl and Animal Kingdom were slow to begin.

Betts Blues – Late scratching at 9:05 when Ms Anita Gibbons reported the greyhound to have a metacarpal injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Devon Lass was quick to begin. Nixon Bale and Chilly Bin were slow to begin. 

Jayville Hope underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left flexor tendon injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Shima Bolt on 15/02/2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
