Steward's Report
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, the Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 2, meaning greyhounds were no longer required to remain on course for the specified time and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.
Mandragora and Aston Skipper were quick to begin. Moraine Arnie, Boggy Dozer and Ibrox Goram were slow to begin.
Spring Blessing was severely checked on the first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
