Steward's Report
Lady Sharp was quick to begin. Panama Girl and Melton Boy were slow to begin.
Aston Fonda (marred Magnetic Force soon after the start) underwent a post-race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms M. Mallia regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Aston Fonda was charged with marring. Ms Mallia pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Fonda was suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Daniel Gibbons regarding the racing manners of Aldren Bale in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Gibbons, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
