Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Bern By.
Strawberry Sweet was quick to begin. Bern By was slow to begin.
Silk (marred Mystic Moment in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing on the left hindleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr D. McKenzie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Silk was charged with marring. Mr McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge, Silk was suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
