Steward's Report
Idle Awhile was quick to begin.
Aston Sinbad stumbled on the first turn, lost ground and underwent a post-race veterinary examination. Aston Sinbad was re-vetted following race 5 and was found to have abrasions on the left calf and left metatarsal. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Renata Silva regarding the greyhound's performance and racing manners over the concluding stages of the event. After hearing submissions from Ms Silva, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Aston Sinbad unsatisfactory. Aston Sinbad must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Rumour Not Fact - the winner of the event.
There was no head-on vision in the back straight for this event.
