Steward's Report
Junior Marjen – Late scratching at 8:34am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr C.Knott was fined $100.
Very Unstable was very slow to begin (6 lengths).
Very Unstable (slow to begin and uncompetitive) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr D.Petersen regarding Very Unstables’s performance and racing manners in the event. After hearing submissions from Mr Petersen, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Very Unstable unsatisfactory. Very Unstable must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Mad Brax – the winner of the event.
