Steward's Report
Mia River and Max Inferno were slow to begin.
Mia River (severly checked approaching the second turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Yeah The Boy (stumbled and lost ground approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right spike wound. No stand down period was imposed.
Diablo Bale (visibly eased and marred the running of Swanny River in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle and left wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J.Caulfield regarding Diablo Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Diablo Bale was charged with marring. Mr Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Diablo Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Swanny River – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.
A post–race sample was taken from Diablo Bale – the winner of the event.
