Steward's Report
Never Sweet was slow to begin.
There's My Spot – Late scratching at 9:01pm on the advice of the On– Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to swelling of the right wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards opened an inquiry into the conduct of Liam Sharp in the kennel block after the late scratching of There's My Spot. A charge under GAR 165(a) was issued to Liam Sharp for engaging in conduct that was detrimental and/or prejudicial to the image and/or control of greyhound racing. Liam Sharp pleaded not guilty to the charge and made further submissions. After considering all of the evidence, Stewards found Liam Sharp guilty of the charge. In determining penalty, stewards considered Mr Sharp's remorse, good record and that he has been registered for approximately 7 years. Mr Sharp was fined $250. Mr Sharp was advised of his right to request an appeal through the Office Of The Racing Integrity Commissioner.
