Steward's Report
This race was rescheduled to 20:20.
The start was delayed by approximately three minutes due to a malfunction with the starting boxes.
My Catalina was quick to begin.
Jessie Intention contacted the running rail on the third turn and subsequently lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Knuckles Galore tired in the concluding stages and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Handley regarding the racing manners of Darnum Destroyer in the home turn and home straight. Mr Handley stated that the greyhound has not raced since early November and tired in the concluding stages. After Stewards viewed the available race footage and acting from their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
