Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 38 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.6 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
During kennelling Stewards conducted a carpark check on all trainers’ vehicles engaged in today’s meeting.
Stewards interviewed Mr Brett Mackie regarding the hot weather policy. After hearing evidence from Mr Mackie Stewards issued Mr Mackie with a $250 fine under GAR 156 (W) after Mr Mackie failed to comply with the hot weather policy adopted by the controlling body.
Stewards interviewed Mr John Rennie regarding the hot weather policy. After hearing evidence from Mr Rennie Stewards took no further action.
Rosie La La was quick to begin. Queen Bonnie was slow to begin.
