Mr James Van de Maat failed to kennel Aston Latham by the appointed kennelling time. A warning was issued pursuant to LR 39.1.
Fascinate Aussie was quick to begin. Aston Latham was slow to begin.
Aston Serpens marred Fascinate Aussie approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right sartorius muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. James Van de Maat regarding Aston Serpens' racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aston Serpens was charged with marring. Mr. Van de Maat pled guilty to the charge. Aston Serpens is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Aston Latham was severely checked approaching the winning post and subsequently fell. Aston Latham underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Fascinate Aussie was marred and subsequently stumbled approaching the winning post. Fascinate Aussie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
