Steward's Report
A race day sample was taken from Hurricane Demon at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Hurricane Demon was checked and faltered approaching the turn out of the front straight, tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the front straight and on the first turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
