Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.2degrees and the kennel temperature were 17.4degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Osprey Warrior was slow to begin.
Rowdan (severely checked and faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a long head triceps muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from My Boy Robert, the winner of the event.
