In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.2degrees and the kennel temperature were 17.4degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Rowdan (severely checked and faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a long head triceps muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from My Boy Robert, the winner of the event.

Maximum and Exelero were slow to begin.

Soda Kiwi (faltered and tailed off approaching the 250m mark)  underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a Deltoid injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Little Miss Mini upon arrival at the course.

Lily The Thief and Challis Chaser were slow to begin.

An out-of-competition sample was taken from Aston Latham on 20 December, 2022.

Green Beret, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a gluteals muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period ws imposed.  Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr. A. Armstrong regarding greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Green Beret was charged with marring. Mr. Armstrong pled guilty to the charge, Green Beret was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial/s in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jefferson County was quick to begin.

Due to the mechanical malfunction of the lure and weighter trolleys and unable to be repaired following Race 6, the race meeting for the remainder of the program (Races 7-12) were officially abandoned at 1:06pm pursuant to GAR 110 (4).
