Steward's Report
Cindy Fuso – Late scratching at 10:11am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. Donna Knight was fined $100.00.
A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Miedema.
Minnie The Minx was quick to begin.
Rule The Galaxy raced ungenerously in the home straight. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Jordan Bryce regarding the racing manners of Rule The Galaxy. After hearing submissions from Mr. Bryce, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
Fernando Bubbles failed to enter the catching pen and underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. After considering the circumstances and hearing from kennel representative Mr. Jason Portelli, Stewards advised they would take no further action on this occasion, though will monitor the greyhound in future events.
