Steward's Report
Cool Story Bro – Late scratching at 01:38pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to dehydration. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Moody Girl was quick to begin. Our Watto and Oldrick Bale were slow to begin.
Spirit Energy underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to racing manners in the home straight – no apparent injury was reported. Ms Koby Rademaker declined the option to have the greyhound re–vetted. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms K Rademaker regarding Spirit Energy’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Spirit Energy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms K Rademaker pled guilty to the charge, Spirit Energy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
