Steward's Report
Whizbang Betty faltered on the turn out of the back straight, did not complete the course, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and deemed it suitable for racing.
Trenzalore turned its head outwards on the home turn and again in the home straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left sartorius muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Darren Fisher regarding Trenzalore's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Trenzalore was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Fisher pled guilty to the charge, Trenzalore must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
