Steward's Report

Xinmin Bale – Late scratching at 11:23am due to not being presented (GAR 86 and LR 39). Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–presentation, trainer Daniel Gibbons was fined $250.

Golden Quest was quick to begin. Aston Laurent was slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Donald Jarvis, the trainer of Aston Laurent, after the greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a seizure in the catching pen. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Aston Laurent is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a satisfactory trial is completed, pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42 (3) Aston Laurent, is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.

A post-race sample was taken from Golden Quest - the winner of the event.
