Steward's Report
On The Mend – Late scratching at 6.31am when Trainer - Mr Terry Meyer reported the greyhound was found to have soreness to the left foot (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Tea Pot Creek – Late scratching at 4.24pm on Saturday, 17 September, 2022 when Trainer - Mr B Mills reported the greyhound to have a wrist injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted. Stewards contacted Mr. Mills regarding the timing of the withdrawal of Tea Pot Creek. Stewards issued a warning to Mr Mills pursuant to GAR76(1)(a) for failing to withdraw Tea Pot Creek prior to scratching deadline. In assessing the matter, Stewards took into consideration that the other reserve greyhound - Stunning One, was not impeded in gaining a start given this greyhound was also withdrawn due to injury. Steward also took into consideration Mr. Mills' good record in the industry.
