Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Vermont Bale.
Tobin Forst was quick to begin. Tobin Forst went up with the lids and was slow to begin.
Carry On Angel gave ground and tailed off shortly after the start, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle and left monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Sir Champ, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf and right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. David Crawford regarding Sir Champ’s racing manners approaching the finish line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Sir Champ was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Kennel representative Mr. Crawford reserved the right to plea to the charge, Sir Champ was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
