Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Mediator.
Zing on was quick to begin.
Mediator faltered approaching the 150m mark and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right shoulder injury and spike wound to the left hind foot. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Zipping Dixie marred Mediator entering in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Luke adams, the trainer of Zipping Dixie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Zipping Dixie was charged with marring. Mr. Adams pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Dixie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Zipping Viking underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have abrasions to the right foreleg, a dislocated toe to the left hindleg and split webbing to the right foreleg and left hindleg . A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. Luke Adams was issued with a warning regarding the use of a mobile phone in the kennelling area in accordance with GAR 96.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Luke Adams regarding the inappropriate language used at the starting boxes. Acting in accordance with GAR 165 (a), Mr. Adams was issued with a fine of $100.00.
