Steward's Report
Mumbo Alarm – Late scratching at 17:26 due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Anthony Karabitsakos informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr Karabitsakos that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Taylor's Jewel and Jimmy Reiko were quick to begin. Rapid Voyage was slow to begin.
How High Austin lost ground entering the turn off the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have corns or foreign bodies in both left and right front pads. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
