Steward's Report
Lady Wendy Hook, Hacker and Alfie Solomon were quick to begin. Zipping Presley and Early Limit were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Hacker – the winner of the event. When questioned regarding Hacker’s performance, kennel representative Mr P. Martinovic stated that he was expecting a strong performance from the greyhound and cited the drop in grade. Mr. Martinovic also added that he did not support the greyhound in tonight’s event. Stewards noted his comments.
Chop Scotch was checked several times during the race, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg spike wound. A 0 day stand down period was imposed. When questioned regarding Chop Scotch’s performance, kennel representative Mr. Ricky Coleman stated that due to a recent spell from racing, he was not expecting the greyhound to be at its most competitive, however, would benefit from tonight’s run. Mr. Coleman also added that he did not support the greyhound in tonight’s event. Stewards noted his comments.
