Dr. Audrey and Laughing Larry were quick to begin.
Dr. Julienne was slow to begin.
Janet Rose marred Dr. Xia in the home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right groin injury, right hock injury and an abrasion. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Chignell regarding Janet Rose's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Janet Rose was charged with marring. Mr. Chignell did not enter a plea to the charge, Janet Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
