Steward's Report
Soul's Warning – Late scratching at 1:41pm due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Lyn Smith informed Stewards that she had mechanical issues with her trailer. Stewards advised Ms Smith that evidence of the mechanical issue will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. Supplementary Report: 8 July - The stand-down upon Soul's Warning was expired due to the mechanical issue being satisfactorily confirmed with the Stewards.
Condor Avenue and Dewana Cruiser were slow to begin.
Condor Avenue contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination, and was found to have a dew claw injury on the left foreleg and left shoulder soreness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
